How to Change Favicon in WordPress

You must have often noticed in the left tab of the browser you use there is little different logo for each website.

This logo is named Favicon.

Its function is to so that your website is easily recognizable.

Almost every website has a favicon. Therefore, if you do not use a favicon, just like your website is not ready.

Here's how to change the favicon in WordPress.

Step 1: Prepare images for favicon

The minimum size is 512px and square shaped (not rectangular). More than 512px are allowed, as long as no less.

Image format that can be used are JPG, PNG, or GIF.

This image will be used as a favicon.

Step 2: Go to the menu Appearance> Customize

Sign in to your WordPress dashboard by typing http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin in your browser.

After that go to the Appearance> Customize.

Within these pages there are various options to modify the look of your blog, one of which is to replace the favicon.

Step 3: Upload favicon

From the Customize page, go to the Site Identity.

Then click the Select Image button, upload pictures that you have prepared earlier.

When finished, click Save & Publish.

That's all.

Finally, to check try to open the front page of your WordPress website again.

Look at the section like this:

If not, try refresh. or wait a while.

If there is still no well, use a different image.
